A History of Excellence

HIREvents, a division of California Job Journal, began producing some of the Golden State's best recruitment events back in June '92, when we connected 52 Sacramento-area employers with over 8,000 jobseekers. Since then, we've produced over 200 events throughout Northern California, from smaller markets such as Stockton & Modesto to larger ones including Sacramento & San Francisco. We've also expanded beyond general events to develop fairs focusing on specific demographics - minorities, women, youth, and the disabled - as well as specialized fields such as technology and healthcare. While many event producers have come and gone in that time, HIREvents has built a solid reputation as well as a growing list of satisfied clients.

A Three-Pronged Recruitment Campaign

Choose from three packages with different rates & amenities and tailor your participation to your recruiting needs and budget. Regardless of the package you select, you'll receive the benefit of three unique services working in concert before, during and after the event to give you 3-4 weeks of exposure so you can connect with interested, active applicants. California Job Journal
Pre-event display advertising in Northern California's award-winning recruitment weekly, read by more than 310,000 jobseekers per month. Use your ad to promote your participation in the event and promote your open positions to drive more traffic to your exhibit area.

HIREvents Job Fair
A tradeshow exhibit space with six-foot skirted table & chairs, a listing in the Exhibitor Guide (which is given to every attendee), company sign, name tags, and lunch in a private hospitality area. Supplemental advertising in the Job Journal and the Exhibitor Guide, an electrical connection, customized signage, additional tables, chairs and lunches are available at a nominal cost.

Virtual HIREvent
Presence at JobJournal.com's Virtual HIREvent for 14 days immediately following the event. This popular forum allows those who couldn't attend the job fair in person to visit your virtual exhibit area, learn more about your opportunities, and relay their interest and qualifications in those opportunities. It also allows those with whom you met at the event a convenient way of corresponding with you.

Help Before the Event
We help you prepare for your job fair with information on the event and how you can get the most from it. We also promote your participation and your job openings in California Job Journal and at jobjournal.com.

Event-Day Service
We staff every job fair with experienced event coordinators (no temp workers) who help you get the most from your day. The little touches, like refilling your water glass while you're busy with jobseekers, are what set us apart. How can we help you? Just ask.

Jobseeker Services
We take good care of jobseekers as well, resulting in a large number of well-prepared candidates to recruit from. Each event features:

Resume Evaluations -- free one-on-one meetings with resume experts enable jobseekers to receive tips on enhancing their resume.
CareerTalks(sm) -- free 45-minute workshops conducted by noted employment professionals. Topics such as 'How to Make the Most of a Job Fair' and 'Interviewing Tips' help jobseekers learn more about how best to approach recruiters.
Exhibitors Guides -- event programs featuring contact information on every exhibitor, CareerTalk schedule, and more
