It’s National Disability Employment Awareness Month. As part of the observance, employers are encouraged to consider hiring employees with disabilities. Now, that’s easier than ever thanks to a new service created by Roseville’s Pride Industries, the leader in helping those with disabilities find work.
Their new service is PrideWorks, a temporary staffing service that offers skilled, competent workers to employers in the Sacramento region.
"PrideWorks is an extension of our ongoing commitment to creating jobs for people with barriers to employment," notes Michael Ziegler, president and CEO.
To ensure a good fit with a prospective employer, PrideWorks meets with a company’s hiring managers, visits the work environment and gets a feel for a company’s work culture. They then carefully match a staffer’s abilities with the company’s needs.
PrideWorks also guarantees the first four hours of employment. Any firm unhappy with a placement can call and have that person replaced – and not be charged for the first four hours.
The service is looking to place people in light industrial settings (construction, printing/bindery, waste and recycling, drivers, manufacturing, warehouse, custodial, material handlers, certified forklift drivers), as well as general clerical and administrative duties (reception, filing, customer service, call center, data entry, inventory).
PrideWorks can be reached at (916) 486-7130, or online at PrideWorks.com. The site also provides links for jobseekers who want to explore the hiring process.
