QUICK FIX: Fast Career Answers

Published:  June 25, 2006
By Marty Nemko

Many jobseekers won’t take the time to thoroughly investigate a prospective career before selecting or nixing it. So, here’s a not-optimal but fast approach. 1.) Search on google.com using your target career as the search term. Visit any websites that sound interesting. 2.) Check out any information on the career at career information portals: RileyGuide.com, CareersOnline.com or CareerInfoNet.org. 3.) Does the career still appeal? Use the career as the search term on Amazon.com. At least skim the book that seems most interesting. 4.) Does the career still sound good? 5.) Go for it!
